Prospects should sign up with the NCAA Eligibility Center prior to, or at the beginning of their junior year.  A college is more likely to extend a scholarship to a player that has already registered with and been approved by the NCAA Eligibility Center.  As a freshman you should be aware of the academic requirements necessary to become eligible for an athletic scholarship.
